Mission Statement
The mission of the Association shall be to represent BC GSSW Alumni and to serve their needs and interests in order to foster their continuing commitment to, and involvement in, the activities and direction of the school, the social work profession and the social welfare field.

Upcoming Alumni Events:

The GSSW Alumni board meets monthly during the School year and partners with the following departments to improve services and programs for GSSW Alumni:

• Career Services: November Networking Event, Connections networking program
• Continuing education: Fall & Spring Workshops
• Admissions & Recruitment: Fall Information sessions
• Communications & Events: Alumni Connections Newsletter, Alumni Dinner and alumni awards

Other regular appointments:
GSSW Alumni Association board members may be nominated to serve on these additional boards within the GSSW community.

GSSW Executive Board: Two alumni board members traditionally serve on the schools executive board. They are selected by the Alumni Board officers.

Field Advisory Board: Representatives serve on an advisory committee for field education. The group would meet twice annually to discuss trends in the field, placement options, new processes, etc.
